Thank You, 2020!
2020 was… quite a year. The world changed. Lhiza and I spent most of the year indoors, and tried to make sense of our situation as it evolved. This was an incredible year — incredibly strange at that!
At the start of the year I thought to ”Focus in 2020". It was a nice play to our situation going into the new decade. We did not expect *the* pandemic to hit, which changed life’s constraints, and really put into perspective the things we should focus on.
And so we bid farewell to the year that was.
I picked out 12 photos, one for each month of the year, of what life was like for us this 2020:
We also celebrated 10 years together as #ealdenandlhiza.
New Year’s Eve is Hatsumōde for us. We have kept this tradition for the last 5 years — ever since we stumbled upon it during our honeymoon trip in 2015. This was from last year, as we approached Meiji Shrine:
While it was unfortunate for us to miss this, and all the other things we do and planned to do, I am still thankful for 2020 that Lhiza and I are safe and together. I am reminded that no matter where we may end up in, I want to end up together with you love. ❤
Happy New Year!
