I have been indoors for 100 days today.

The last time I stepped out was on March 15, when Lhiza and I grabbed supplies good for a few weeks. The quarantine lasted much, much longer than what we planned for, and continues to be in effect, albeit with less restrictions, until today.

I have no idea how the outside of our condominium compound looks like. Lhiza did have to step out twice in this period for work, and she tells me that I am not missing much.

Lhiza and I have been fortunate.

During this time we were able to reevaluate our needs and wants, simplifying our routines, and experimenting on how we design our life. That was rewarding. We were even able to lose a few kilos.

Tomorrow is another three years since we moved in. That was when we started simplifying things, and have continued and iterated on since. We now know that simple is more flexible, that simple is more resilient.

We will need to head out again soon for some key supplies. I’m not sure how I feel about that. The world continues to turn, but for a moment we were able to stay still and enjoy life.
