One year ago, Lhiza and I signed up with the amazing Boy Kaster Santos!

Lhiza:

I’m officially a BKS bride!!! ❤ Thank you from the bottom of my excited heart, Tito Boy @boy_kastner! ❤ Can’t believe that my dream wedding gown will soon become a reality, booked on our 49th month together. 11 months to go, @ealdenescanan! ❤

I was literally on the other side of the world when Lhiza first mentioned about a contest of sorts that she wanted to join. I don’t recall the other details, and I believe I didn’t really get it, with the timezone differences and all, but I told Lhiza that it wouldn’t hurt to try.

And not only did it not hurt, but Lhiza actually won! She was one of the 5 lucky brides that Tito Boy picked. It was only when we actually met up with Tito Boy that I realized how much of a big deal this was. The contest was a “throwback rate” sort of thing, and it was a really, really good deal!

Plus, Tito Boy was simply impressive. This is Lhiza as a BKS Bride:

We also had Tito Boy make my suit as well as my dad’s. This is me in a BKS.Men attire. The fit and feel is unbelievable. I don’t wear suits often, but my expectation of what a suit should be definitely changed after wearing a “real” one. My next suit would definitely be a BKS.

We had a couple of fittings with Tito Boy and his team to iron out the entourage. The fittings were always something to look forward to.

A memory of note was Tito Boy’s doorknob. He had his studio redesigned back then, and it looked amazing, except for the doorknob that was sort of broken. My dad noticed it and decided to fix it, while everyone else was trying out their gowns.

By next fitting, the doorknob was broken again, and we realized that no amount of fixing would actually stick. We eventually brought a new doorknob and installed it by what was then our last fitting.

I hope that the next time we do visit, the doorknob would still be there.

Tito Boy also referred us to Thoffy Consulta of Events by Thoffy, and everything about the wedding preparations got easier with Thoffy onboard. And let’s not forget Charie, Tito Boy’s niece and Production Assistant, who prepared our crew meals and entourage lunch on the wedding day itself!

Working with Tito Boy is a joy, in more ways than one. Definitely one of the reasons why our wedding was as happy as it was!
